Silk material or alternatively high-quality satin are incredible fabrics to look elegant and more thoughtful. Silky or satiny material are typically made of a soft fabric that flows really nicely on the body and that’s what makes it look expensive. When willing to match elegance and quality, silk dress are definitely worth it. Silk dresses are easy to style and dress up or down depending the occasion and here are some tips on the subject:

What to opt for on a budget?

Silk garment style comes in many variations but I really believe the best option to opt for is the silk fabric because it is really going to last and will never fade. However, silk may be a bit on the pricier side that’s why the best alternative to it is the satiny fabric. Satin generally comes at lower cost while looking similarly expensive as silk does.

For which season?

Silk or satin is perfect for warm weather due to the fluidity and the comfort of the fabric. We can obviously wear silk in colder weather if it matches the season with long sleeves as an example.

In which colour?

Any form of silk or satin generally looks really amazing if well chosen. That’s why as it is the fabric that stands out and make the whole look more thoughtful, we can focus more on colors. Evermore as silk dress are generally simple model, you can definitely invest in solid and bold colours.

How to wear it?

Some might feel that silk is referring too much to a night gown but I do believe that the only point that matters is how you dress it.

For day time, a nice silk dress can be worn with a pair of mules or a nice pair of sneakers depending on the distance you might need to walk. Add a nice day bag to the outfit and eventually a wrap coat like I did here. This look is super comfortable and I feel the mix between the brown of the coat and the kaki of the dress blend quite well to elevate the look. This is quite a simple look effortlessly because what makes it stand out is the fabric.

For night time, a nice silk dress is really romantic because it flows really softly on the body. Silk dress is definitely making a women look expensive. To dress it up for an evening, you can add a nice little Buti or pouch and a nice pair of heels. A flat shoes that is a bit more on the classy side would perfectly work as well. It is really all about how you complete your whole look. Personally, I opted for a black silky dress as I like to wear black at night but any solid colour would look amazing.

The pieces are from really old collection so I could not find it. However, I attached similar ones that are of good quality.
