Different coat are made for different seasons, occasions and people. That’s why you really should invest in specific coats for each season. When it comes to the transitional seasons, fall and spring, we need some coats that are still keeping us warm but less thick than the coat we would wear in winter.

This type of coat is quite convenient and useful making it suitable for casual looks only for day time. Again, the windproof jacket exists in different shapes. You can get a loose windproof jacket such as the beige one I am wearing for days where you want to be really casual and a figure-fitted one to look more expensive.

  For what concerns the fabric of the coat, I believe we need to move to a more cautious society caring about what we buy and avoid wearing animals. Nowadays, you can find similar feather jackets made out of synthetic materials that are as warm as real fur. The sleeveless windproof jacket can be bought on a budget and look really expensive. It’s all about the colour and if the cut is suitable for your body shape.

• Tweed coat

  Tweed is an expensive looking fabric and the most known brand for tweed is Chanel. Tweed is definitely an amazing fabric to get to look more elegant. It is perfect for transitional seasons as it is quite warming.
  
  You can purchase tweed fabric on a budget but it requires to be cautious about certain points: Avoid to get a tweed coat with bangs or threads because these are the typical cheap looking tweed; opt for a good thickness, pay a specific attention at the buttons because they can degrade the whole look.
